Someone's Special Day. . .

It's a special day here today, and if you're curious about what that might be, you could take a peek back through the years: here or here or here or way back here in this blog's first month.

I'm afraid I haven't time to explain much more than that, but I can tell you that it has something to do with this fellow. . .
Have to run, though. Not sure what the day's plans are, but I know we're not going to let any big numbers slow us down. . .

  2. Oh! What a cuddly photo with the little ones! Enjoy the birthday together! There are advantages to that special age and it doesn't seem so old anymore. Pater looks very handsome in the photo.

    1. Hi Dottoressa ...I'm sure Frances won't mind me adding this :) We arrived in Pittsburgh yesterday and I read that it's "sister city" is Zagreb! Then when we were in Quebec I spent some time in a lovely store that sold clothes, household accessories, stationary etc all in a fresh nautical blue and white! I wish I had space in my luggage! Apparently it was from Croatia!! The only one in Canada and the US. I'm afraid I can't remember the name though although I have a card in my bag at the hotel!
Hope you're having a good week!

We re still travelling and I've had problems with my eye which really affected reading and writing for a few weeks but hopefully it's starting to settle.

  13. Have a lovely time celebrating. That picture of the readers is perfect. I cannot understand why people can't find the time to do this more often.

    1. We're very lucky in our family to come from a reading culture. I think for those who don't, it's not as easy to know how to choose books to entice little ones into the happy reading moments that lead to more. . . But once you experience a moment like this, it's pretty addictive, right?

I'd love to hear your response to my post. Agree, disagree, even go off on a tangent, I love to know you're out there, readers. Let's chat, shall we? I apologize, though, for the temporary necessity of the Word Verification -- spam comments have been tiresomely numerous lately, and I'm hoping to break that pattern.
