Four grown kids, six delightful grandchildren, constant, long-time partner. A retired academic, I'm adapting to life in a Vancouver condo after decades in a waterfront home on a very small (Canadian) West Coast island. Keen to discover what new priorities emerge, what interests persist, in this urban life after 60!
Just for Thomas, if I had unlimited funds . . . I think the first Sunday Best post I ever read and commented on was one in which Thomas spoke of wanting eventually to buy a leather bag worthy of someday passing along to his someday children. This one, spotted last month in a Paris window (Etro's, specifically) on the Boulevard St. Germain, might qualify. As soon as I saw it, I hauled the camera out, explaining to my patient husband why I needed to get these shots for a post in appreciation of my Oaties donor.
Thom could probably rock the linen suit as well, so when I have my unlimited funds, I'll throw that "costume" in. After all, prices are not so unreasonable Finally, since I know he and Charlie would so appreciate the gesture, I'd throw in a couple of airplane tickets so they could see this for themselves. Happy Birthday, my Internet friend!
